Environmental and community sustainability are at the core of our foundational values at Vail Resorts.
In order to “Do Good” where we work, live and have fun, Vail employees bring this value to life every day though actions called Vail Resorts Epic Promise.
In 2017, Vail Resorts updated our sustainability goals. Setting our sights on zero, here are our commitments:
- Zero Net Emissions by 2030
- Zero Waste to Landfill by 2030
- Zero Impact to Forest and Habitat by 2030
Stevens Pass is a Leader in Environmental Responsibility
70% Landfill Diversion
Through an aggressive reduction, recycling and composting program, Stevens Mountain Resorts diverts 70% of it waste from entering the landfill.
Landfill Diversion Milestones:
- 50% -- 2015-16 Season
- 60% -- 2017-18 Season
- 70% -- 2018-19 Season
Climate Change Management
In partnership with the non-profit Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Stevens Pass offsets 100% of its energy use (from both propane and electricity) solely with renewable energy credits from clean, sustainable windpower.
