Parking at Stevens Pass

Parking regularly reaches full capacity during weekends, holidays, and on midweek powder days, so please plan accordingly by carpooling, or arriving before 9 am or after 1 pm. We are introducing a combination of free and paid parking options on weekends and peak periods, with a focus on reservations and carpooling incentives (please see the FAQs for more info).

Free parking will be available in 100% of resort parking lots on a first-come, first-served basis on nonpeak weekdays. Reserved parking will be available in 33% of total resort parking on weekends and peak periods in Lots G, A, B, and E at the start of the 2025/26 winter season.

In our non-reservations lots, parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Parking regularly reaches full capacity during weekends, holidays, during peak periods, and on midweek powder days, so please plan accordingly.

If parking lots are at capacity, do not park on the shoulders or lanes of HWY 2. Parking on HWY 2 is illegal, and your vehicle will be towed and ticketed. Please refer to the parking map below for location details of each parking lot. Stevens Pass FAQS - Winter 2025/26

Q: Why are you making this change?
A:  Parking challenges have been an issue at Stevens Pass for quite a while. After taking a deep dive into our current parking practices, analyzing our parking capacity and constraints, learning from other resorts across our network, and much consideration and conversation here in resort, we believe that adding a paid/reservations-based program during weekends and peak periods can, and will, make a difference. We remain committed to providing options for both free and paid parking for our guests, including on weekends and peak periods.

Q: Why are you reverting back to the 2024/25 parking plan after announcing something new for 2025/26?
A: We value the voices of our local community and appreciate the feedback we've received. After listening to your concerns, we’ve decided to maintain the 2024/25 parking model for the 2025/26 season to provide consistency and reassurance. We remain committed to working alongside the community to find long-term solutions that support our guests.

Q: Is there a chance of you changing the plan again before the 2025/26 season?
A: No, we are committed to this plan for the 2025/26 season.

Q: What will you do if people show up and there are no parking spots?
A: We are committed to transparent communication ahead of our busiest days to set expectations before guests arrive. If parking reaches capacity in the morning and reservations are sold out, we’ll recommend guests return in the afternoon when more spots become available.

Q: Which parking lots will be reserved lots?
A: Lots G, A, B, and E will require a reservation during peak periods.

Q: When you say reservations are available during “peak periods,” what does that mean?
A: We define peak periods as weekends, holidays, and Pass restricted days. In addition to weekends, peak periods in the 2025/26 season at Stevens Pass include:

  • December 22-23
  • December 26
  • December 29-January 2
  • January 19
  • February 16

Q: How are you defining the “weekend?”
A: We define the weekend period as Saturday and Sunday.

Q: What hours of the day will reservations be required/paid parking be enforced during weekends and peak periods?
A: Reservations will be required for Lots G, A, B, and E until 10am on weekends and during peak periods.

Q: If paid reservations-based parking is effective, why not transition all lots to this model?
A: We want to provide our guests with several choices when it comes to their arrival and parking experience at Stevens Pass. We are committed to ongoing testing and learning at our resort as parking efficiency remains a key priority, and we will evolve with the demand.

Q: Where can I make a reservation and how far in advance can I make it?
A: Reservations are available to book starting November 1, 2025, and can be made or updated throughout the season at parkstevenspass.com.

Q: How will this parking system be managed?
A:  In partnership with a third-party parking management company, our parking attendants will support these new parking policies, including parking transactions as appropriate and carpool validations via our parking reservations website.

Q: Are Lots G, A, B, and E now full-time reservations-required paid lots?
A: No – these lots require reservations only on weekends and peak periods. Reservations are required at these times for all vehicles, regardless of how many occupants there are.

Q: How many people in one vehicle are required to qualify for free carpool parking?
A: To park for free in Lots G, A, B, and E on weekends and peak periods, you will need four (4) or more people in a single vehicle or be a single adult with two children aged 12 or under. No matter how many people you have in your vehicle, you must still make a reservation to park in Lots G, A, B, and E on weekends and peak periods before 10am.

Q: I understand Lots G, A, B, and E require reservations on weekends and peak periods until 10am, but what about during the week?
A: On Monday – Friday (excluding weekdays during peak periods), all our lots remain free, regardless of how many passengers are in a single vehicle, with no reservations required.

Q: If I’m making a reservation, do I pay at the parking lot or do I do so ahead of time online?
A: Payment for parking is required online at the time of reservation. If you have 4+ people in your vehicle or are a single adult with two children ages 12 and under, parking is free, but a reservation is still required.

Q: What if there’s a road or resort closure on a day that I have a parking reservation?
A: Your parking reservation will be canceled and automatically refunded if the resort is closed or not accessible on the morning of your reservation.

Q: How far in advance do you expect parking reservations to fill?
A: We anticipate reservations to go quickly and recommend you secure a spot in advance, should you want to secure a parking space during a weekend or peak period.

Q: What should I do if reservations are unavailable for the day(s) I’m planning to visit?
A: We understand that some people like to plan trips months in advance, while others prefer last-minute plans. Our system is designed to accommodate both. Additionally, canceled reservations will be reopened for booking, so check back regularly for availability. Guests also have the option to arrive early to park in one of our free first-come, first-served lots, or to arrive after 3pm to ski or ride until 10pm during night operations from mid-December to mid-March. Currently, reservations will be required starting on opening weekend through the end of night operations. These dates are subject to change based on snow conditions.

Q: How many reservations can I make at once?
A: Each guest may hold up to five reservations at one time. Once a reservation has been used, guests can add another to their account to return back to five at any one time. There is no limit to how many reservations a guest can make throughout the course of the season.

Q: How can I cancel a reservation?
A: You may cancel reservations via our parking reservations website. Cancellations can be made for a refund until 7am the morning of the reservation. There are penalties for not cancelling by this time/”no-showing” for your reservation.

Q: What happens if I make a reservation and don’t show up?
A: If you no longer plan to use your reservation, you must cancel by 7am the day of your planned arrival for a refund. There will be a penalty for no-showing for your reservation that will escalate for every following no-show offense. We reserve the right to restrict anyone’s ability to make future reservations if the reservation system is being abused or manipulated in any way.

Q: Is there a cutoff time to make a reservation?
A: No. Until reservations are sold out for any given day, you can make a reservation up to the time you arrive.

Q: What happens if I don’t have/can’t get a reservation for the paid lots on a weekend or peak period?
A: If you do not have a reservation, we will not be able to accommodate your vehicle in Lots G, A, B, and E until after 10am. There are several options when it comes to parking with us, including many free spots in our other lots on weekends and peak periods.

Q: What if I am driving a rental vehicle and don’t have my plate information yet to make a reservation?
A: When you make your reservation, add your private vehicle license plate number to make the reservation. When you receive your rental car, log in to your account and change your license plate number to match your rental car plates.

Q: I have an ADA/Disabled license plate or placard. Do I need to make a parking reservation?
A: Not at this time.

Q: What if there’s a delay on the highway due to unforeseen circumstances and I can’t make it to the resort by 10am? How will I know if my spot will still be available?
A: The resort will use its discretion to extend reservations beyond 10am due to traffic and other weather or operational impacts.

Q: What if my license plate is covered in snow or not visible?
A: It is your responsibility to ensure your license plate is clear and visible upon arrival. If we are unable to verify your reservation, a parking violation may be issued.

Q: Why don’t you offer free reserved parking?
A: Reserved parking is free for any vehicle with 4+ passengers or a vehicle with a single adult and two children ages 12 and under.

Q: If I have a lesson booked with Ski & Ride School on a weekend or peak period, do I need a reservation?
A: Private lessons come with a pre-paid reserved parking spot. Guests booking group lessons can select to book a reservation or to arrive early and park in one of our free first-come, first-served lots. Our Ski & Ride School will email more information about parking reservations prior to your scheduled lesson.

Q: If my child is on a race team, do I need a reservation?
A: Reservations will be required during weekends and peak periods for Lots G, A, B, and E. Parking is also available for free without a reservation in our first-come, first-served Lots C, D, 1, 2, 3, and 4. We highly recommend and encourage carpooling with other race team families.

Q: Is there a season-long parking pass I can purchase for every weekend and peak period?
A: Not at this time.

Q: Will Lot F be part of reserved parking?
A: Lot F will remain our RV overnight camping lot and reservations are required and can be booked on our website (stevenspass.com). The process to make a reservation for the RV Lot will remain the same – it is separate from standard vehicle reservations

Q: For reservations in paid lots on weekends and peak periods, do I pay at the parking lot, or ahead of time?
A: For paid parking reservations, payment will be made online at the time of the reservation on parkstevenspass.com, unless you have 4+ people in your vehicle or are a single adult with two children aged 12 and under— in that case it is free, but a reservation is still required in these designated lots

Q: What is the cost of paid parking during weekends and peak periods / which lots are paid on weekends and peak periods?
A: Our new reservations-based parking is free for vehicles with 4+ occupants or a single adult with two children aged 12 and under and applies on weekends and peak periods until 10am. ADA access and the first four vehicles to arrive for EV charging stations will also be free. If you arrive with less than four people and do not meet any of the exceptions, the reservation will cost $20. If you arrive after 10am, there will be no cost, nor a reservation requirement if spaces are available.

Q: What if my car doesn’t fit three additional people and ski gear and I don’t want to pay for a reservation?
A: There are plenty of free lots at Stevens Pass if you are unable to accommodate four or more passengers in your vehicle to park in one of our carpool lots. Drop-off is also available should you want to drop off people in your vehicle and then park.

Q: Where can I park for free on weekends and peak periods?
A: Lots C, D, 1, 2, 3, and 4 remain free and are available on a first-come, first-served basis every day of the week. Carpool-parking for vehicles with 4+ occupants or families with a single adult and two children ages 12 and under can park for free in Lots G, A, B, and E with a reservation on weekends and peak dates, and these lots are also free and available on a first-come, first-served basis on any non-peak weekday.

Q: Is this just another money-making play for your resorts?
A: This program is designed with the guest experience in mind. Its primary goal is to eliminate the risk of not securing a parking spot at Stevens Pass. Any revenue generated will be reinvested to enhance the guest arrival experience. The plan also encourages carpooling, aiming to reduce the number of vehicles on the road and improve access to the resort.

Q: Where will employees park on the weekends and peak periods?
A: Employees can still park for free and do not need a reservation at any time.

Q: Will you be offering a shuttle from Monroe?
A: We currently do not have plans to provide a shuttle service other than to/from our satellite lots when needed.

NEW Parking Updates for the 2026/27 Winter Season

As we look ahead to the 2026/27 ski and ride season, Stevens Pass will be evolving its existing parking program to further improve the arrival experience during most weekends and holiday periods. Building on learnings here at Stevens Pass and from resorts across the industry, the updated approach will continue to emphasize reservations and carpooling incentives while introducing more flexible options designed to create a smoother parking and arrivals experience, reduce congestion, and make planning a visit to the mountain easier.

Starting next season on most weekends and holiday periods, reservations will be required to park before 10 a.m. with a mix of free, paid, and carpool reservations available. The majority of parking will continue to remain free, especially for guests who ride together.

3 Best Ways to Park on Most Weekends & Holiday Periods

  • Reserve early for peace of mind
    • Carpool with 4+ people or 1 adult + 2 kids 12 and under (free)
    • OR, if unable to carpool, make a paid reservation ($20)
  • Reserve closer to your visit
    • Free reservations will be released weekly, ahead of peak weekends and holiday periods
  • Arrive later and take advantage of night operations
    • While reservations are only required until 10 a.m. on most weekends and holiday periods, our parking often remains at capacity into the afternoon. By 2 p.m. parking is almost always available, and skiers and riders can visit during night operations and park for free, no reservation required.
    • From mid-December to mid-March, we typically operate Wednesday through Sunday until 10 p.m. for night operations, so skiers and riders can still get in a full day on the mountain when joining us in the afternoon.

On non-peak weekdays, parking remains free and first-come, first-served, with no reservations required. As always, proceeds from paid reservations will continue to be reinvested into the parking and arrival experience.

2026/27 Parking Reservations will be required on the following dates:

  • November 27-29 (if the resort is open)
  • December 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-31
  • January 1-3, 9-10, 16-18, 23-24, 30-31
  • February 6-7, 13-15, 20-21, 27-28
  • March 6-7, 13-14, 20-21

Stevens Pass Parking & Arrival FAQS - Winter 2026/27

Q: Why are you making this change?
A: Over the past few seasons, we’ve learned a lot about how parking and arrivals impact the guest experience, especially on our busiest days. Reservations have been very effective in helping us manage our parking resources, and that is why we will be requiring reservations for all guests on most weekends and holiday periods for the 26/27 season. These updates are designed to help improve the flow of arrivals, predictability, and the overall guest experience, while encouraging and incentivizing carpooling. This plan builds on guest feedback and operational learnings from Stevens Pass as well as resorts across the industry.

Q: How is this different from what you announced last spring, then retracted?
A: This updated parking plan requires reservations for most weekends and holiday periods, which is similar to what we announced last spring. However, the biggest difference with this updated plan in comparison, is that the majority of parking reservations will be free, including introducing new free reservations available weekly ahead of weekends and holiday periods, in addition to free advanced reservations available for carpool guests. Paid parking reservations will also still be available for guests who want to plan in advance but are unable to carpool.

Q: Are you going to change your mind again about this parking plan?
A: We are confident this is the right next step for Stevens Pass to prioritize the parking and arrival experience, while offering greater flexibility and encouraging more sustainable travel during our busiest times. That said, we will always continue to learn, adjust, and listen to guest feedback to improve our operations.

Q: What are ‘most weekends and holiday periods’?
A: Weekends and holiday periods are our most popular and busiest times at the resort, when we typically reach capacity in all our parking lots. For the 2026/27 season, this includes the following dates when reservations will be required:

  • November 27-29 (if the resort is open)
  • December 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-31
  • January 1-3, 9-10, 16-18, 23-24, 30-31
  • February 6-7, 13-15, 20-21, 27-28
  • March 6-7, 13-14, 20-21

Q: How are you defining the “weekend?”
A: Weekends are defined as Saturdays and Sundays.

Q: What happens after 10 a.m.?
A: Skiers and riders arriving prior to 10 a.m. on most weekends and holiday periods will need a reservation to park. All guests with reservations should arrive prior to 10 a.m. otherwise those reservations/spaces may be released. While reservations are only required prior to 10 a.m. on peak days, our parking often remains at capacity until the afternoon, so we encourage guests without a reservation to arrive after 2 p.m. and visit us during night skiing and riding operations

Q: How will this parking system be enforced?
A: Parking operations will continue to be managed on site with the support of a third-party parking partner. Clear signage, advance communication, and staff support will help guide guests through the process. Additional details will be shared ahead of the season

Q: What parking lots are included?
A: All summit lots (plus Yodelin when needed) will be included in this updated parking plan, requiring reservations on most weekends and holidays. Lot F remains the RV overnight camping lot, and RV reservations are required.

Q: What about the Yodelin lot? Can I park for free there?
A: Yodelin will be included in this updated parking plan, requiring reservations on most weekends and holiday periods when reservations at the summit are full.

Q: Will there be a shuttle from Monroe?
A: At this time, shuttle service is limited to satellite lots at Yodelin and only when needed.

Q: If reservations are effective, why not require reservations all the time?
A: Reservations have been very effective in helping us manage our parking, and that is why we will be requiring reservations for all guests on most weekends and holiday periods for the 2026/27 season, with a mix of free, paid, and free carpool reservations. On non-peak days when volume is lower, there isn’t currently a consistent need to require reservations.

Q: What happens on weekdays?
A: On non-peak weekdays, parking remains free and first-come, first-served, with no reservations required.

Q: What if there’s a highway delay or unexpected closure and I arrive later than planned?
A: We monitor road, weather, and operational conditions closely. When significant delays occur, we may extend reservation hold times. Updates will be shared through our parking text alerts and official channels.

Q: Is this about generating revenue?
A: No. While we will require reservations on most weekends and holidays for the 2026/27 season, the majority of our parking still remains free. These updates are designed to help us best manage the parking and arrivals experience, reduce park out events, and encourage more sustainable travel during our busiest times. We would consider it a success if most guests park for free by carpooling. Net proceeds from parking are intended to be reinvested back into the parking and arrivals experience at Stevens Pass.

Q: Is there a season-long parking pass?
A: No, not at this time.

Q: When will reservations be required?
A: Reservations will be required on most weekends and holiday periods. On non-peak days, all parking remains free and first-come, first-served.

2026/27 parking reservations will be required on the following dates:

  • November 27-29 (if the resort is open)
  • December 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-31
  • January 1-3, 9-10, 16-18, 23-24, 30-31
  • February 6-7, 13-15, 20-21, 27-28
  • March 6-7, 13-14, 20-21

Q: Will some lots be reservation-only every day?
A:  No. Reservations are required only on most weekends and holiday periods. On non-peak days, all parking remains free and first-come, first-served.

Q: Will reservations be required on non-peak weekdays if it’s a powder day?
A: No. Reservations are not required on non-peak weekdays, even on powder days at this time.

Q: Where do I make a reservation and how far in advance can I book?
A: Reservations will be available online ahead of the winter season at www.parkstevenspass.com. We will have more details to share as we get closer to the start of the 2026/27 season.

Q: Do I pay for parking online or when I arrive?
A: All paid parking reservations are completed online at the time of booking. Carpool and week-of reservations are free but still require an online reservation for most weekends and holiday periods.

Q: What if I need to change or cancel my reservation?
A: Cancellation and no-show policies are available at www.parkstevenspass.com.

Q: What if I make a reservation and don’t show up?
A: Cancellation and no-show policies will apply and can be found at www.parkstevenspass.com.

Q: What if the resort or access roads close on the day of my reservation?
A: Wf the resort is closed on the morning of your reservation, your parking reservation will be canceled and automatically refunded.

Q: What if I can’t get a reservation?
A: If reservations are full, you still have options:

  • Carpool with someone who already has a reservation
  • Visit us after 2 p.m. for night operations, when available
  • Check back closer to the day of your visit for available inventory

Q: What if I can’t get a reservation and I have a lift ticket or ski school lesson?
A: Guests are encouraged to make a parking reservation when purchasing a lift ticket or ski school lesson for weekends and holiday periods when parking reservations are required. If reservations are sold out, guests are encouraged to check back for availability, or to reschedule their visit for night skiing or another date. Tickets are refundable, and our team at the Ski & Ride School will work with any guest to rebook lessons.

Q: Why don’t you offer free reserved parking for everyone?
A: To best manage the parking and arrivals experience, reservations help us manage fluctuating demand and encourage more sustainable travel during our busiest times. For that reason, we highly encourage and incentivize carpooling with free reservations for cars with four or more people or one adult and two kids 12 and under. In addition, free reservations will be made available during the week of, for most weekends and holiday periods. For those who want to plan further ahead and can’t carpool, paid reservations are an option.

Q: If I have a lesson booked, do I need a parking reservation?
A: Private lessons will include a reserved parking spot. Group lesson guests will be prompted to make a reservation upon booking.

Q: What happens if I arrive on a peak day without a reservation?
A: Without a reservation, parking is not available prior to 10 a.m. on most weekends and holiday periods, and on our busiest days, parking may remain at capacity into the afternoon. Guests without reservations should plan to take advantage of night operations and arrive after 2 pm, when parking is almost always available.

Q: Is Lot F part of the reservation system?
A: Lot F remains the RV overnight camping lot, and RV-specific reservations are required.

Q: How much does parking cost?
A: Non-peak days will continue to remain free with no reservations required. On most weekends and holiday periods when reservations are required until 10 a.m., the following will be in place:

  • Free: Carpools (4+ people or a single adult with two kids 12 and under)
  • Paid: $20 for vehicles that do not meet carpool requirements
  • Free: Limited number of reservations, released weekly
  • ADA parking is free and requires a reservation
  • Visit for night skiing/riding: While reservations are only required prior to 10am on peak days, our parking often remains at capacity until the afternoon, so we encourage guests without a reservation to arrive after 2pm to enjoy night operations.

Q: What about EV charging stations/spots?
A: While we do have EV charging spaces available in our lots, they cannot specifically be reserved. Like all cars, EV vehicles will be required to have a reservation on most weekends and holiday periods, however EV charging stations themselves will still be first-come, first-served.

Q: What if my vehicle can’t fit four people and gear?
A: For peak days, options for guests who are unable to carpool include paid parking reservations that will be available to book in advance, free reservations that will be made available the week of and arriving after 2 p.m. for night operations. Drop-off options are available every day of the season, and free first-come, first-served parking remains available during non-peak days.
