It is on!
Saturday, November 16th is officially opening day for the 2013-14 winter season at Stevens! Over 1,000 skiers and riders came up to enjoy more than 22 inches of fresh snow over 24 hours and a 30-inch base. And the high fives will keep on coming because we’ll be open daily now from 9am-4pm, conditions permitting!
We’re planning on spinning Hogsback, Brooks, Daisy and the rope tow Sunday, November 17th, and we’ll try to add other lifts as the week progresses and conditions allow.
Terrain park staff has been hard at work as well and have over 10 features in place in the Beacon Hill park, with more to come as we expand out to four terrain parks. You can look forward to some shiny new features like a C-Rail, Rainbow Box and Rainbow Rail as the season gets rolling.
Lift tickets will be just $20 through Thursday. 2013-14 season pass holders from other mountain resort areas can also ski for free through Thursday by showing their pass in Guest Relations for a lift ticket.
Resort amenities will be limited but we’ll expand facilities as more of the mountain opens for operation as the season progresses.
Cheers to the beginning of an awesome season!
