For those that live and breathe the mountain lifestyle. When you reach an advanced level, improvement comes in smaller increments and it requires a coach who really knows you, your skills and your goals to be able to bring out the best in your skiing/riding.

We select only our very best coaches for these programs to provide that high level of quality and consistency.

Non-Competitive Programs: Coaching programs with a broader scope designed to offer variety as well as skill development. Does not include competition support.

Mountain Leadership Program

Mountain Leadership Program

SKI & SNOWBOARD AGES 12-15

Ever wondered what it takes to be an instructor, patroller or even a snowcat operator? This program is for advanced skiers and riders who are looking to combine coaching for expert skiing and riding with experiences and challenges that go beyond regular lessons. See behind the scenes at the resort, discover a deeper respect for the mountain environment and gain transferable skills and knowledge that can extend into life outside the mountains.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Participants may select up to 12 days from a calendar of available key weekend and holiday dates. Each day includes optional early morning skiing/riding followed by a morning spent skiing/riding with and shadowing a professional instructor and their youth class. After lunch with us they would then head out with their coach in the afternoon for training and skill development. The calendar can be viewed here and should be emailed to us upon sign up to teams@stevenspass.com

As well as training on high level skiing/riding skills in all conditions and environments, our curriculum will cover topics like backcountry skills and awareness, leadership skills, and equipment care. Participants will also get to ‘go behind the scenes’ and spend time learning about resort operations. Our program over the years as spent time shadowing patrollers and the avalanche dog handlers, enjoying a tour of the lift engine rooms or a snow-cat, assisting the terrain park crew or receiving some basic instructor training.
