Q: What is the difference between Sport, Showcase Performance and Demo equipment?
Answer: Sport equipment consists of skis or a snowboard that is intended to be used primarily on groomed runs by beginner through intermediate level users.

Performance skis and snowboards generally have a stiffer, more specialized flex pattern, and may be wider in the waist. They are intended for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders.

Demo equipment is state-of-the-art equipment for advanced through expert skiers and riders. Our experienced technicians will help you choose from a large variety of skis and snowboards so that you can maximize your fun on the slopes. Demo ski boots feature a stiffer flex index than do our standard boots.

Q: What information will I need to provide in order to rent?
Answer: You will need to know their height, weight, age and shoe size. It is helpful for skiers to also know your skier type. You will need to bring credit card and valid ID in order to rent. All renters will need to sign a Release of Liability waiver and renters under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver.

Q: What's the benefit to pre-paying?
Answer: Pre-Paying for rental equipment guarantees availability of equipment and saves time during the rental process. Please note we do cap the amount of pre-paid equipment reservations so we recommend pre-paying several days in advance if you are planning a trip over a weekend or holiday. We do not pre-select your gear, as our process allows for a personal, individual fit each time, to provide you with the best fitting equipment each visit.

Q: What gear can I pre-pay for?
Answer: Sport equipment and Showcase Performance equipment can be pre-paid and reserved. Sport and Showcase Performance packages are discounted by $10 after 4pm, but reservations are not required due to the reduced volume of guests at night. Equipment can also be reserved as part of a lesson package reservation. Demo equipment is available on a walk-in basis only, while inventory lasts.

Q: I pre-paid, where should I go to pick up my gear?
Answer: Head to the Rental Shop in the Tye Creek Lodge to get fitted for your equipment. Be sure to bring a copy of your confirmation email to expedite the check-in process. The Rental Shop opens at 8:30am, and at 7:30am on Peak Days. You can also pick your gear up from 6pm onwards the night before your reservation date if the resort is open for night operations. This could help save you time in the morning.

Q: I'm a beginner or first timer, should I rent gear or purchase a lesson package?
Answer: Our lesson packages include rental equipment and we strongly recommend seeking expert instruction as the best way to start out skiing or snowboarding. We offer a range of lesson programs which can be explored here. If you would prefer to try it out yourself, with a group of friends or if lessons are not available for your chosen visit date, our award winning Flow Zone setup can help you self guide through the basics of learning how to ski or ride.

Q: Do I need a lift ticket?
Answer: Rental packages do not include a lift or access ticket. Tickets are required for all skiers and riders and can be purchased in the Rental Shop. We offer discounted tickets for access to our Learning Areas and beginner terrain only which are available onsite, everyday. If you require all mountain access, consider purchasing your ticket online at least 36 hours in advance to save at least $10.

Q: How do I get there, when should I arrive?
Answer: Traffic, road conditions and parking can often unexpectedly extend your travel time. On Peak Days, we recommend factoring at least an additional 45 minutes to your travel time. Check-out our First Time Guide for directions to the resort and information on parking, what to wear, the best times to visit and more.
