Competitors: Friday is not mandatory and is an open inspection day of the venue for athletes with early check in available.  There will not be early ups for any days of the event and competitors will load with the public on the chairlift. Three day, two day and single day discounted tickets will be available to participants, family members and coaches in Guest Relations (Granite Peaks Lodge). All competitors will need to fill out the Stevens Pass waiver in addition to the one you signed on The Driven site.  You can find the liability form HERE and we will have some available when you check in too. You can also fill out your athlete profile before you arrive and download it HERE!  You will want to make sure to arrive early to allow yourself enough time to get parking, get your ticket and check in.  Weekends may be busy especially if we get new snow so we recommend arriving at the mountain early. Information regarding plans for split judging, venue updates, safety information and more will be disucssed during athlete meetings so do not miss these.  *All event times, locations and details may be changed without notice.*

New to Freeride or this competition? If you have never competed in a freeride event or are newer to freeride competion we recommend you read through IFSA's website for information on what to expect, how to register. Athletes must undertand their riding ability level and be aware of all IFSA governing rules. During the event there is mandatory athlete meetings and each competitor and coach is responsible to make sure they attend to receive necessary event information, changes, etc. Event times and locations are subject to change without notice. We also recommend that you come prepared with extra dry clothes, snacks and water.  Weather can change fast and we are expected to have wet conditions throughout the weekend.

You can visit IFSA's website to read up on IFSA athlete guidelines, the IFSA handbook and find out what you need to compete in IFSA sanctioned events.  You must be an active IFSA member to participate in this event.

Coaches: Starting in 2017, all individuals planning to coach junior athletes at IFSA events and to access competitive venues will be required to have an active Level 100 Certification. Additionally, during the 2017 season, the Level 200 certifications will begin.  This is just a friendly reminder that any and all coaches MUST be active IFSA members to receive benefits from our Event Hosts such as discounted or free lift tickets and access to the venue during inspection.  All coaches must check in at The Summit Room to get your name on the coaches list, give your number of athletes and be referenced from a list provided by IFSA.  If you are not on the IFSA list you may purchase a discounted ticket still from Guest Relations, but you will not be allowed on the venue.

Parents: If you have a competitor that will be coming up without a parent please make sure they have the liability waiver for Stevens Pass signed ahead of time (see above in competitor info to download waiver) and that they know where to go to get their ticket and for mandatory meetings.  Tickets can be purchased in Guest Relations.  Mandatory meetings are held in the Summit Room (Tye Creek Lodge) unless announced differently by the Technical Director. We recommend packing snacks, water and extra layers for competitors especially if they will not have a coach or parent around.  Sometimes we have weather holds and they may have to stand around for a little bit.  If your competitor is new to Freeride we recommend reading the above info on the IFSA website about what to expect.

Wait List and Cancellations/No Shows: Due to the nature of no shows and last minute cancellations we will allow an in person wait list to begin at check in starting Friday, but you are NOT gauranteed a spot in the competition.  We do not recommend showing up planning to compete, because if we do not have space open up we will not open up space just because a competitor is on hill.  If space becomes available we will notify onsite wait list folks on a first come, first serve basis as they will be here and do not need as much notice for travel, etc. We wish we were able to provide more notice to those on the wait list with travel plans, but without advanced cancellations we can't provide this. If you are competing and are a no show or cancel at this point you are not eligible for a refund (please review cancellation policy on IFSA website and The Driven). We appreciate your understanding and patience.
