THE MOUNTAIN
Future Plans - Master Development Plan (MDP)
PUBLIC COMMENT OPPORTUNITY

Stevens Pass has submitted to the US Forest Service a proposal for Phase I of its Master Development Plan (MDP).  It involves mountain biking as well as an upgrade to the resort water treatment system.

The US Forest Service is conducting an environmental analysis as required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for proposed projects in the Stevens Pass Master Development Plan.   The Scoping Letter and it's maps and attachments describe the project, and provide instructions on how and by when to comment.  The Scoping Letter is now available on-line.  Please visit the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest website at http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/mbs/projects/ to view and download the document.

The Forest's website will be the primary avenue in which information about this NEPA analysis will be disseminated.

In an effort to reduce paper waste, electronic correspondence and media will be used to the extent possible throughout this project.

To be added to the mailing list to receive project updates and notification of comment and public participation opportunities and to submit comments, please email the Forest Service at mbs_stevens_ski@fs.fed.us

Please include "Mailing List" in the subject line and also include the following with your email:

  1. a valid email address
  2. a valid mailing address
  3. your document format preference (e.g. online, CD-ROM or hard copy)

STEVENS PASS MASTER DEVELOPMENT PLAN (MDP)

In 2007 Stevens Pass submitted its Master Development Plan (MDP) to the Mt Baker - Snoqualmie National Forest, the resort's landlord. The plan is intended as a blueprint and overall vision for improvements at Stevens Pass over the next 10 - 15 years and is a requirement of the resort's Special Use Permit with the US Forest Service. The Forest Service has begun their initial review of the proposal.  See below to view the overall Plan.

Due to the size (KB/MB) of the documents, we are offering a text only version with graphics and appendix 6 - Summer Plan, as separate downloads.  If you are interested in seeing the plan in its entirety, please contact:
