As you climb, the rain on your windshield changes; the pattering beats soon replaced by the familiar crunch of freshly fallen snow.

Thoughts of work, traffic, and everyday responsibilities seem miniscule compared to the immensity of the surrounding mountains; they are simply left behind as you drop into your first turn.
